The ninth Heritage In The Homeland Sale was November 7 at the Canadian Valley Ranch sale facility in Seminole, Oklahoma. The sale featured a quality selection of fullblood, purebred and Lim-Flex cattle, including spring pairs, fall pairs, bred females and open heifers. A sizeable crowd was on hand to evaluate the 51-lot offering and keep the bidding active throughout the sale. The volume buyer was McCoy Ranches of Lindsay, Oklahoma, with 12 head.

$6,400—Top-selling lot—MATL Miss Jewel 504, a 9/5/05 homozygous black, double polled 75% Lim-Flex daughter of GPF Black Diamond Plus out of MWFS 9220J, was purchased by WP & Co. of Guthrie, Oklahoma, for $1,500. She sold bred to LH Rodemaster 338R. Her 1/2/10 homozygous black, double polled daughter of SBLX Tool Box 4385T sold to Jordan Leatherman of Muskogee, Oklahoma, for $4,900. The pair were consigned by Young and Rogers Farm of Windthorst, Texas.

$6,300—David Knoll of Blanchard, Oklahoma, paid $2,300 for CHR Undeniable 078U, a 4/19/08 homozygous black, homozygous polled 50% Lim-Flex daughter of EXLR Neo 614N out of CHR Necklace 398N. She sold bred to LH U Haul 135U. Her 3/5/10 homozygous black, homozygous polled 50% Lim-Flex daughter by KRVN Unlimited L527U, sold to Ryan Hefner of Seminole, Oklahoma, for $4,000. The pair was consigned by Coyote Hills Ranch of Chattanooga, Oklahoma.

$6,000—Top-selling open heifer—LFL Waverly 9064W, a 9/3/09 homozygous black, homozygous polled 75% Lim-Flex daughter of DHVO Trey 133R out of MAGS Silhouette, was purchased by Jordan Leatherman. She was consigned by Lawrence Family Limousin of Anton, Texas.

$3,300—Lawrence Family Limousin offered LFL Sabrina 6003S, a 3/5/06 double black, polled 50% Lim-Flex daughter of Stevenson Benchmark N190 out of CHAZ Miss Greta 7003G who sold bred to DHVO Trey 133R. She sold for $1,300 to Leslie Howell, of Lindsay, Oklahoma. Her 4/21/10 homozygous black, homozygous polled 75% Lim-Flex daughter by DHVO Trey 133R sold to Jordan Leatherman for $2,000.

$3,125—LFL 4098P, a 12/10/04 black, polled daughter of LFL First Edition 1013L out of Miss OTSS 0109Y, sold to Leslie Howell for $1,125. She sold bred to DHVO Trey 133R. Her 6/10/10 homozygous black, double polled heifer calf by DHVO Trey 133R sold for $2,000 to Jordan Leatherman.

$3,000—Coy Cattle Co. of Red Oak, Oklahoma, had the winning bid of $1,800 on LH Ultra 048U, a 3/23/08 black, polled daughter of GPFF Blaque Rulon out of Win Vue Ms. Special 281 who sold bred to LVLS Lethal. Her 3/12/10 homozygous black, double polled, 75% Lim-Flex bull calf by LH Rodemaster 338R sold to Wright Farms of Byars, Oklahoma, for $1,200.

Oklahoma Select Limousin Sale Posts $2,325 Average Courtesy of Limousin World

 The 29th Annual Oklahoma Select Limousin Bull Sale was December 11 in Durant. Nineteen consignors from six states made up the 82-head offering of registered Limousin and Lim-Flex bulls. A large crowd of commercial cattlemen and seedstock producers came to evaluate the cattle and they were willing to pay a premium for the quality bulls as the sale averaged $617 more than it did one year ago.

$10,000—Top-selling lot—Burnett Brothers of Hale Center, Texas, had the winning bid on MAGS Whirligig, a 4/7/09 black, polled, 50% Lim-Flex son of BC 7022 Raven 7965 out of MAGS Manda. He was consigned by Magness Land & Cattle of Platteville, Colorado, and DJ Limousin of Port Orchard, Washington.

$4,500—Lawrence Family Limousin of Anton, Texas, consigned LFL Wages 9041W, a 5/16/09 black, polled son of DHVO Trey 133R out of LFL Reba 5001R. He was purchased by H&P Limousin of Kosse, Texas.

$4,500—H&P Limousin also had the final bid on PERF BP Lodestar 769T, a 10/15/07 homozygous black, double polled son of JCL Lodestar 27L out of PERF BP BV 527R. He was consigned by Troska Limousin of Ada, Oklahoma.

$4,000—Madison Yandell of Wichita Falls, Texas, consigned MBYA Urban Cowboy 8104U, a 10/1/08 homozygous black, homozygous polled son of DL Rabbi 193R out of LH Rieces Pieces 051R. Weaver Farms of Kingston, Oklahoma, was the buyer.

$3,900—YYYY Unique 8101U, a 10/5/08 homozygous black, homozygous polled son of DL Rabbi 193R out of LH Rainy Day 280R, sold to Reagan Farms of Milburn, Oklahoma. He was consigned by Yandell Limousin of Wichita Falls, Texas.
