Newsletter
The OLBA newsletter will take on a
totally new format starting in
August of 2008. We have reached an
agreement with the staff of the
Oklahoma Cowman to publish our
newsletter in their magazine. The
newsletter will be published in six
issues per year on an every other
month schedule starting with the
August 2008 issue. Current plans are
to have a three-page insert that
will feature both editorial and
breeder advertising.
We are offering business card ads
for $50 per column inch. There will
be 24 card ads available per issue.
We are offering these ads on a first
come basis with current advertisers
having first right for space.
Advertisers will also be able to
increase the size of their ads if
they so desire. It is our hope that
advertisers will commit to a minimum
of three issues or to a year-long
commitment of six issues. Currently
issues are planned for August,
October, December, February, April
and June. Our goal is to have all
our advertising space sold by the
end of our field day on June 21.
We are extremely excited about this
opportunity to get our word out to
the more than 4,000 subscribers that
the Cowman currently reaches. This
provides our breed organization a
unique ground breaking opportunity
to be a regular part of the Oklahoma
Cattleman’s Association magazine.
This relationship will give our
members a much larger exposure to
both purebred and commercial markets
statewide and nationally.

Directory
The association also periodically
produces a membership directory, in
which you as a member will be
included. Newsletters and
directories are distributed not only
to OLBA members, but also to new
Limousin breeders, vo-ag teachers,
local sale barns and at cattle
events across the state.
